Expectedly, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) led by Comrade Joe Ajaero has kicked-off its nationwide peaceful protest over the prevailing economic hardship in the country despite the late minute withdrawal of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) led by Mr. Festus Osifo.
Prompt News reports that protesters made up of members of the organised labour and citizens began their marches from the Labour House in Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Tuesday morning chanting solidarity songs NLC slogans.
Led by Ajaero and Omoyele Sowore, presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in the 2023 election, the Abuja protest proceeded unhindered as the protesters moved from the Labour House through the city and headed to the National Assembly (NASS) as at the time of filing this report.
Also, it was gathered that NLC members in Lagos state led a protest on Tuesday despite the odds as protesters gathered at Ikeja under-bridge in Lagos mainland chanting solidarity songs and slogans.
According to reports, Adegoke Fayoade, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police was on the ground at the country’s commercial capital to observe proceedings. READ ALSO:

Recall a last ditch efforts was made by the federal government by calling for a meeting with NLC late Monday night but it was not enough to convince the latter to shelve the nationwide protests as the organised labour poured to the streets across the country on Tuesday. The two day warning strike will end tomorrow.
