The General Secretary of Nigeria Football Federation, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi has revealed that his monthly salary of $10,000 dollars is the least of national football secretaries in Africa.
Sanusi who made this revelation to PROMPT NEWS at the glass house, said he negotiated his salary.
According to him, the initial asking price with the former board headed by Amaju Pinnick was $15, 000 dollars per month but after much negotiation he accepted $10, 000 dollars .
“Look I don’t know why my salary is controversial. I negotiated for it because I am on contract. Others on contract can do the same. I didn’t give myself contract either did I allocate salary for myself.
“Go to other countries in Africa such as Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, South Africa, Ghana , Rwanda and other federations in Africa , their General Secretaries receive as high as $15,000 dollars and above as monthly wages,” Sanusi said.
PROMPT NEWS reports that the Federation General Secretary, Sanusi Mohammed is the Chairman of National Federation Secretaries under CAF which he has been leading for more than three years.
