Cyriel Dessers is keen to become a regular for Scottish Premiership giants Glasgow Rangers.
Dessers was recently dropped by manager Michael Beale due to poor form.
The Nigeria international however scored the winning goal against Motherwell on his return to the starting line-up.
“All I work for during the week is to start these important matches. At the moment the manager makes his choices and that’s part of football,” Dessers told the Daily Record.
“It’s also part of being at a big club like Rangers. I work hard every day and I will keep pushing and keep working. I will wait for my moment and when my moment is there I will show it on the pitch. It’s all about that in football.
“Of course, I didn’t want to get my chance because of Danilo’s injury. He’s a really good guy and a top player. I feel really bad for him with his injury, we all do. I hope he will be back soon. We have three or four really good strikers and with so many games this season we will need everyone,” he continued.
“I am sure I will play my part and make my goals because I know you have to take your chances. It’s part of being at a big club, I have experience of this from Feyenoord. READ ALSO:
