The final inspection of the Olympic sized swimming pool located at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, holds on Friday, June, 3, 2016.
The Minister for Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung will lead a team from the ministry including the permanent Secretary, Mr. Christian Chinyeaka Ohaa, Director Facilities and Stadia Development and Management, Engineer Ibrahim Shehu and other top management staff of the ministry.
The swimming pool at the National stadium which had been in a state of dilapidation for over 20 years is almost ready for use.
The contractor of the project, Mr. Joseph Odobeatu had told the Minister in April 2016 when he visited, that the project was 85% complete.
Dalung had given a deadline of the first quarter of the year for the swimming pool to be completed
