The Presidential Task Force on Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic Friday roundly condemned State Governors who have lifted various laws including the congregation of citizens at worship places.
Speaking at today’s PTF Covid-19 press briefing in Abuja, the National Coordinator, Dr. Sani Aliyu stated that it is too early for Nigeria to lower her guard in the face of the continued spread of Covid-19.
He therefore criticised some State Governors who have lifted the stay at home order earlier clamped on the people in their various states, adding that such decision can only increase the number of people testing positive for the Coronavirus disease.
Aliyu argued that the lifting of the ban on public gathering which will now see more than 20 persons crowding at public places including churches and mosques will worsen the spread of the novel Coronavirus.
