An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Friday remanded three men in Kirikiri Prison for allegedly robbing a tricycle operator of his tricycle.
The defendants, Ayomide Martins, 29, Olamide Ahmed, 27, and Olanrewaju Olayiwola, 25, are being tried for conspiracy and robbery.

Njoku directed that the case file should be sent to the DPP and adjourned the case until Oct. 15 for hearing.
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Samuel Mishozumu, told the court that the offences were committed on Aug. 11 at Opebi area in Lagos.
Mishozumu said that the defendants and others at large robbed the complainant, Mr Yakubu Saidu, of his tricycle valued at N660, 000 at gun point.
“Saidu was on his way when the defendants and his other accomplices stopped him under the pretence that they wanted to board the tricycle.
“They pointed gun at him and collected the tricycle.
“In the process of shouting for help, the defendants were apprehended by passers-by around who handed them over to the police,”he said.
The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Sections 297 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Section 297 stipulates 21 years imprisonment for robbery, while Section 411 provides two years imprisonment for conspiracy.
