By Paul Efiong, Abuja A multi-purpose distribution company, Acouns Nigeria Limited has called on the lawmakers in the national assembly to enact laws that will curb incessant economic slavery and undue exploitation of Nigerians by foreign companies, partners and investors in the country.

Speaking in a world press conference on Monday in Abuja, Chief Executive Officer of Acouns Company, Mrs. Adunni Udu along with a former Commissioner for Environment in Oyo state, Majekodrumi Mikail Aborede lamented infiltration of Nigeria’s labor market by foreigners who claims to be investors urging legislators to urgently repeal or amend the indigenization policy as such might pave way for a new law that could take cognizance of radical business atmosphere in the country allegedly perpetrated by foreign business men and women.
According to the group, some indigenous companies and business men in the country have the passion and prerequisite qualification in all necessary areas of human endeavors emphasizing that these devoted Nigerians are always and subsequently after successful creation of booming markets, sidelined and discarded by the greedy desperate gold-mind craving foreigners in the country.
They also call on the federal government to release Nigerians from the shackle of these foreign unscrupulous foreign manufacturers and so call investors and their cohort who neither have offices, staff nor incur overhead costs including taxation, but continually siphon billions of naira from our economy, denying government of revenue and employment opportunities with attendant effect of kidnapping, armed –robbery, pipeline vandalism, militancy and so forth which have militated against economic growth and development.
Earlier in the first stage of the briefing, the group had warned the public against purchasing Alere Determine HIV 1/2 test kits from other source than Acouns limited which they say has the sole exclusive distributor of the product.
‘’The general public is hereby put on notice in order to avoid buying recycled or fake and stolen products from unauthorized person and companies, we also appeal to World bank and National Agency for the Control of HIV/AID(NACA) and State Agencies for the control of HIV AID(SACAs) from shopping for this product from the open market’’.
