Nigeria’s Falconets will face Japan in the second round at the ongoing FIFA U-20 Women’s World, PNO Sports reports.
The Japanese sealed top spot in Group F following 2-0 victory over Austria on Monday morning.
The Asians annihilated New Zealand 7-0 and blasted past Ghana 4-1 in their previous group games.
They thus finished with nine points, scored 13 goals and let in only one.
The Falconets were runners-up in Group D with six points from two matches.
They scored six goals and conceded three.
The winners between the Falconets and Japan will do battle with the winners between Spain and Canada in the quarter-final.
