Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo has said Friday’s (today ) encounter against eternal rivals Ghana will not be treated as a friendly encounter.
The two teams will renew their age-long rivalry at the Grande Stade de Marrakech, Morocco.
Omeruo stressed that matches between Nigeria and Ghana are typically anything but friendly affairs, underscoring the competitive nature of their previous encounters.
The centre-back also expressed satisfaction with the team’s preparation and camaraderie in camp
“Preparation has been great. It’s good to be back in camp again after the AFCON. I’m happy to see the likes of Ndidi, who was missing, and the other boys again,” he told the Super Eagles media.
“We are training and working hard, working on our tactics to win this game.
“You know it’s usually not a friendly game against Ghana. We are ready and will go all out to win the game.”
The game will kick-off at 5pm Nigeria time.
