AC Milan manager Paulo Fonseca has praised Samuel Chukwueze for his impressive pre-season form.
Chukwueze joined the Rooseneri from LaLiga club Villarreal last summer.
The winger struggled during his first season at the club.
The Nigeria international has however make a big impression in pre-season.
The 25-year-old bagged two assists in AC Milan’s win against Manchester City last weekend and scored the winning goal against Real Madrid on Thursday morning.
“Chukwuze is more confident. Last season he didn’t play much,” Fonseca was quoted by Goal.
“When a new coach arrives it’s always like this, the players want to show off. I’m happy for Chukwueze, he’s doing very well.
“I think he’s showing his qualities. Like Musah and Pulisic, he’ll be an important player for the team”.
