Ten-player Chelsea impressively battled to a 3-2 win against Brighton & Hove Albion at the Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
The Blues led 2-0 midway through the first half through goals from Enzo Fernandez and Levi Colwill.
Facundo Buonanotte reduced the deficit for Brighton with a fine effort towards the end of the first half.
Chelsea were reduced to 10-men moments later when Conor Callagher was sent off for a poor tackle on Bil Gilmour.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side regained their two-goal lead on 65 minutes when Fernandez converted from the penalty spot after substitute James Milner was adjudged to have foul Mykhailo Mudryk
inside the box.
Joao Pedro gave Brighton a boost with a header in stoppage time.
