Head Coach of the Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi is not comfortable being drawn in the same group with the host South Africa in final of the CHAN Cup.
In a chat with Prompt News Online on phone from USA where he is holidaying with his family, Keshi said avoiding the host nation would have been better.
Noting that all the four teams are good and could make it to the next round, the coach assured Nigerians that all the matches will be approached with seriousness.
Super Eagles are drawn in group A with host nation South Africa, Mali and Mozambique and will be based in Cape Town
“I thought we should have avoided host South Africa but as it has turn out like that, we have no choice than to play them. But it is not always easy to play against host countries.
“But CHAN is not a priority now. I have a crucial game with Ethiopia in three weeks time that should worry me now and not CHAN. When it is time to worry about that we get to do that,” he said.
