The Christian community in Nigeria under the auspices of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has commiserated with the family of Justice Legbo Kutigi over the demise of his dear wife.
A statement signed by CAN President Ayo Oritsejafor, said Nigerian Christians share in the family’s pain particularly at this point in time when her support was needed in the home front and society at large.
Orisejafor stated further, “At times like this all we can do as humans is to thank the almighty for he alone knows best why he had to take her away from us especially from your family.
“I know that words alone cannot console you enough but I urge you to take solace in the fact that the deceased lived a good life, leaving legacies for Us to follow.
‘Mama’s death is a great loss not only to Kutigi family but to the entire nation, she was a peace builder and a true Nigerian who spared no moment to preach peace in the communities she came in contact with.
“Her support, no doubt contributed to the achievement his lordship recorded as the Chief Justice of the nation and even as chairman of the ongoing National Conference.
“CAN mourns this death with you and assures you and your family of its prayers for God to give you the fortitude to bear this great loss and for mama’s soul to rest in perfect peace.
“All we can do for now is to focus on the good things that she had always wanted us do for our dear country.
‘I know and am confident that God will give you the strength to carry on with your task at the national conference.
“Once again, I condole with you and your family over this great loss and call Nigerians to pray for her eternal rest,” CAN President stated.
