The Confederation of African Football League has concluded plans to scrap the CAF Confederation Cup.
The African Football League will now occupy top position as the continent’s top tier club football competition.
The CAF Champions League will take the place of CAF Confederation Cup as Africa’s second rated club competition.
The African Super League was introduced last year with eight clubs participating in the inaugural edition.

The number of clubs participating in the African Football League and CAF Champions League will also increased.
The winner of the African Football League will now be representing the continent in the FIFA Club World Cup.
