To show his belief in God and to support the work of the church, the President of Confederation of Africa Football (CAF), Dr. Patrice Motsepe took time off his schedule to attend a church service Sunday at the St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Yaoundé, Cameroon just as he donated the sum of US$200 000 to the Catholic Church of Cameroon on behalf of the Motsepe Foundation.
According to a press statement made available to the media by CAF, Motsepe was accompanied by CAF Secretary General, Veron Mosengo-Omba who also attended the church service on Sunday.
Although no reason was given why Motsepe made the huge personal donation to the Catholic church in Cameroon, the gesture shows that the CAF President is committed to the spiritual growth of the people.
Before becoming the President of CAF, Motsepe was a well known Billionaire in his country Republic of South Africa as he owns multi-billion businesses including ownership of South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) club, Memolodi Sundown (men and women) among others.
