Bendel Insurance edged past Algeria’s ASO Chlef 1-0 in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round fixture at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City on Saturday night.
Imade Osarenkhoe struck in the first half to give the Benin Arsenals a slim advantage going into the second leg.
The Benin Arsenals put up a dominant display in front of their fans but were let down by their poor finishing.
It remain to be seen if they would rue those misses when they take on same opponent in the reverse fixture next weekend.
Monday Odigie’s side will zoom into the next round with any form of draw.
The encounter is slated for the Mohamed Boumezrag Stadium.
