CAF appoints Maigari, others into committees
President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Aminu Maigari and some members of the NFF Executive Committee have been appointed into standing committees of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the period, 2013-2015.
In the list of standing committees published on the CAF Media Channel, Maigari, under whose leadership Nigeria football has soared to new heights in the past 17 months, will work in the Organizing Committee for the Orange Africa Cup of Nations. The committee is headed by CAF President Issa Hayatou.
Maigari’s immediate predecessor at the Glass House, Sani Lulu Abdullahi has been made a member of the Organizing Committee for the African Nations Championship.
NFF’s 1st Vice President, Mike Okeke Umeh is a member of the Organizing Committee for the Inter-Club competitions, headed byPresident Hayatou while Emeka Inyama, chairman of the NFF Media and Publicity Committee, is a member of the CAF Media Committee. Moucharafou Anjorin of Benin Republic is the chairman.
Chairman of the NFF Technical and Development Committee, Chris Green is member of the Disciplinary Board with South Africa’s Raymond Hack as President, while Yusuf Ahmed Fresh, another member of the NFF Executive Committee, is member of the CAF Technical and Development Committee that is headed by CAF 1st Vice President
Suketu Patel.
NFF’s marketing consultant Mike Itemuagbor retains his place on the CAF Marketing and TV Committee, and former NFF 1st Vice President, Amanze Uchegbulam also keeps his position as Vice President of the Appeal Board.
