Grammy award-winning Nigerian superstar singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has clocked another milestone as he becomes the most charted Nigerian artist on US Billboard Hot 100.
The singer also known as Odogwu overtook his colleague Tems to become the Nigerian artist with the most entries on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
This impressive feat was achieved following the debut of the song “We Pray,” by Coldplay featuring Burna Boy, Little Simz, Elyanna, and Tini Stoessel, entered the chart at No. 87 this week.
The ‘Last Last’ hitmaker has now reached a total of six Billboard Hot 100 chart entries, surpassing Tems, who sits at five.
This milestone places Burna Boy ahead of Wizkid, the first Nigerian artist to debut on the well renowned chart, who has recorded four entries.
Burna Boy is now just one song away from breaking the record held by South African rock band Seether for the most Billboard Hot 100 chart entries ever by an African artist.
