LAGOS – The British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation (BATNF) on Monday, 21st August 2017 received the NIS ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) from the management of Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON). The event, which took place at the head office of the Foundation, in Ikoyi, was as a result of the BATNF’s certified conformity to International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) QMS standard requirements for certification and accreditation.
“We are now ISO 9001:2015 certified for the quality of support we provide to rural smallholder farmers in Nigeria through the promotion of agriculture for food security, poverty alleviation, environmental conservation and protection of the farming communities” stated Mr. Yusuf Ageni, a member of the BATNF Board of Directors.
The British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation, since 2004, has established over 150 community development projects in all the 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory. These people-oriented projects have resulted in wealth creation, food security, poverty eradication, rural transformation and environmental protection.
