Brentford have condemned the racist abuse suffered by their midfielder Frank Onyeka.
Onyeka was racially abused after celebrating Brentford’s 2-0 win over Chelsea on his X handle and Instagram page.
The Nigeria international was a second half substitute at the Stamford Bridge.
Ethan Pinnock and Bryan Mbeumo scored both goals for the Bees.
“Last night another incidence of disgusting, racist abuse was directed towards one of our players, this time Frank Onyeka, on social media,” reads a statement on the club’s official website.
“It is hugely disappointing that one of our players has had to deal with this yet again.
“This week the Online Safety Bill was passed – we hope that its implementation will make social media safer and that it will support our efforts to hold these cowards and the social media companies themselves to account.
“Frank has our full support at this time as we instigate our investigations with the authorities.

In a related development, the English Premier League have also via a tweet condemned the action, reiterating that they have no place for racism.
