The Police Service Commission on Monday announced a new Management Team for the Nigeria Police Force.
Surprisingly, six Commissioners of Police skipped the rank of Assistant Inspector General (AIG) as they were promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspectors-General (DIGs).
The new DIGs, according to the spokesperson to the Commission, Ikechukwu Ani, would man the seven Management Departments of the Force.
Those appointed to the various Departments are:
i. AIG Shuaibu Gambo – DIG, Finance and Administration
I CP Joshak Habila – DIG, Department of Operations
iii. CP Maigari Abbati Dikko – DIG, Logistics and Supply
iv P H. M. Dagala – DIG, Department of FCIID
v. CP Emmanuel T. Inyang – DIG, Training and Development
vi. CP Ntom Chukwu – DIG, Research and Planning
vii. CP Folusho A. Adebanjo – DIG Department of ICT
viii. CP Abdul Bube – AIG Force Secretary
Ani said the Commission has conveyed this approval to the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris for implementation.
The Commission Chairman, Mike M. Okiro said the officers’ promotion letters will follow in due course.
