Mr. Samuel Ortom is to remain in office as the Governor of Benue State, the Supreme Court has ruled.
Delivering judgment this afternoon (Tuesday), the Apex Court affirmed the decision of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal and the judgement of the Appeal Court
Consequently, the Justices of the Supreme Court dismissed the appeal filed by Emmanuel Jime, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for lacking in merit.
Prompt News Online recalls that the Court of Appeal also awarded the sum of N150,000 fine against the APC candidate.
