The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Nigeria on Monday night rose to 40 with four new cases recorded.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, three new cases have been recorded in Lagos and one in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
“Four new cases of #COVID19 have been confirmed in Nigeria. 3 are in Lagos State and 1 in FCT
“Two of these cases are returning travellers
“As at 11:00pm on the 23rd of March, there are 40 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria. 2 have been discharged with 1 death recorded

Prompt News reports that President Muhammadu Buhari had approved the recommendation of the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 headed by the SGF, Boss Mustapha, that residents of Lagos and Abuja be advised to stay at home as part of measures to contain further spread of the virus.
