Mallam Ismaila Isa Funtua, a close ally of President Muhammadu Buhari is dead.
Funtua is also a newspaper patron and influential media leader, VANGUARD reports.
He died in Abuja while undergoing routine medical check-up. He was 78 years old.
He reportedly suffered a massive heart-attack during the medical check up.
