A former Head of State, General Muhammadu Buhari, will fly the flag of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2015 presidential election.
Buhari has not been officially announced as the party’s candidate as counting is still ongoing as at press time.
However, he has surpassed the total votes garnered by another leading aspirant, Atiku Abubakar.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar polled a total of 954 votes.
But, while counting of Buhari’s votes is still ongoing, he has already polled 2,00 votes.
The votes for other three aspirants- Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, Govenor Rochas Okorocha of Imo and Leadership Newspaper Publisher, Mr. Nda Isahia, are yet to be counted.
The two-day APC’s presidential primary is holding in Lagos State.
Buhari, will now confront President Goodluck Jonathan, the flag bearer of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 2015 presidential election.
