Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface has joined Bundesliga club Werder Bremen on a season-long loan deal, Prompt News reports.
Boniface linked up with Bremen from another Bundesliga club, Bayer Leverkusen.
The 24-year-old was close to securing a move to AC Milan last month but deal collapsed after a failed medicals.
The Nigeria international endured an injury ravaged campaign last season.
Boniface suffered a muscle injury twice last season which limited his appearance for Bayer Leverkusen.
The striker scored 11 goals and registered one assist in 27 appearances for Die Werkself.
The former Union Saint-Gillloise star expressed his excitement after completing the move.
“The discussions with those in charge convinced me to make the move to Werder Bremen. I want to contribute with my performances to helping us achieve our common goals this season. I’m looking forward to my new team and my time at Werder Bremen,” he told club’s official website.
