Victor Boniface can’t hide his excitement after returning to training at Bundesliga club Werder Bremen, Prompt News reports.
Boniface sustained a knee injury last December, and underwent surgery early this year.
The Nigeria international was initially expected to miss the remainder of the season, but he is now in line to play again for the Greens before the end of the campaign.
“I am happy to be back after three months out,” said the player, who will now train apart from the main squad until he is fully recovered.
“I am now looking forward what we can achieve at the end of the season.”
The 25-year-old joined the Green and Whites on loan from Bayer Leverkusen last summer.
Boniface has registered two assists in 11 league appearances for the club.
