Taiwo Awoniyi was voted Man of the Match for the second consecutive game after Nottingham Forest edged out Southampton 1-0 in their Premier League clash on Wednesday night, reports Prompt News.
The Nigeria international scored the winning goal for Forest at the St. Mary’s Stadium.
It was the first time Nottingham Forest will win an away game in the Premier League this season.
Awoniyi added the individual accolade to the first one he picked up in the 1-1 draw against Chelsea on New Year’s Day.
The 25-year-old earned the highest number of votes ahead of the trio of Brennan Johnson, Renan Lodi and Joe Worrall.
Awoniyi has so far scored four goals in 16 league appearances for Nottingham Forest this season.
