The Financial Services sector led the activity chart 1.105 billion shares valued at N6.652 billion traded in 13,369 deals last week on the floor of the Nigeria Stock exchange.  A turnover of 1.514 billion shares worth N12.062 billion in 24,983 deals were traded in contrast to a total of 1.071 billion shares valued at N13.139 billion that exchanged hands last week in 23,190 deals. Security forces in the early hours of Friday engaged in a gun duel with men suspected to be members of the dreaded Islamist sect, Boko Haram, killing no fewer than seven in the process and injuring several others.
