President Bola Tinubu on Monday appointed Mr Kayode Egbetokun as the Acting Inspector-General of Police (I-G). The new I-G, born on Sept. 4, 1964, was the Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG), Force Criminal Investigation Department, Force Headquarters, Abuja before the appointment. The International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) and the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) on Monday provided health care for 110 trafficked persons in Lagos. The Police Command in Jigawa has presented cheques totalling N43.12 to 51 families of police personnel who died in active service in the state. The Spokesperson of the command, Lawan Shiisu stated this on Monday in a statement issued to newsmen in Dutse.
