The Police in Ondo State have arrested a nurse, health assistant and security guard at the Comprehensive Health Centre, Emure-IIe, Owo Local Government Area, over the mysterious disappearance of a baby’s placenta. The Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Olufunmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, made this known while speaking with the newsmen on Tuesday in Akure. Operatives of the Edo Police Command have arrested nine persons for allegedly attempting to murder two persons in the state. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) learnt that the suspects, said to be cult members, on June 15 attacked one Festus Osagie, 40, and Olusola Esimaje, 39, at Ologbo, Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area of the state. The Kogi Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), says it has seized a total of 1,699.2kg of assorted drugs this year. It said that 90 suspected drug traffickers were arrested within the period.
