Apparently to save the aviation industry from total collapse, the Federal Government has approved the resumption of international flights in and out of Nigeria from August 29, 2020.
This cheering news was dropped today (Monday) in Abuja by the Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika via his Twitter handle.
The Minister tweeted Monday evening the resumption of international flights operations in Nigeria to the relief of Nigerians and international community.
He said only two international airports in Abuja and Lagos will resume full operations first as was the case when domestic operations restarted in Nigeria.
“Glad to announce the resumption of international flights from August 29th, 2020. Beginning with Lagos and Abuja as we did with the domestic flights resumption.
Protocols and procedures will be announced in due course. We thank you for your patience”, Sirika tweeted.
