Fiery Anglican clergyman, Venerable Oluwaseun Owoeye has admonished the Christian faithful to emulate the life of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world just as he warned the people in authority not to use their positions to oppress others especially the less privileged individuals.
Owoeye who is the Vicar incharge of Basilica of Grace and Supervising Priest of Gudu Archdeaconry, Abuja in his Christmas homily titled: ‘Worship The New King’ emphasized on the need for the people to reflect on the significance of the birth of Jesus Christ thousand years ago.
According to him the birth of Jesus Christ was unusual in several ways, pointing out that His birth was glorious, special and significant chiefly because he was born a man who will bring solutions to human beings’ problems.
Said he: “His birth was unique, He was born a King and He is called the King of Kings. His activities were different and what he did while on earth were different from what other prophets did.
Although Jesus Christ was born a man, He was born a man who will bring solutions to human beings’ problems”.
The priest also said that no matter the gravity of the problems human beings may face in the world, Jesus Christ is capable of solving them, stressing that there is nothing impossible for Him to do because He and His father (God) are one.
He insists that Jesus Christ came to set captives free and to deliver the oppressed, as captured in the Holy Bible in the book of Isaiah 61:1-5.
He therefore told the people of God that the only thing God required of them to do is to worship the King of Kings even as he asked those who are well to do to remain humble in their affluence. READ ALSO:

Owoeye however urged the Christian faithful to
live their lives like Jesus Christ and to submit to His rulership and lordship as well as give their lives to Jesus Christ and by extention to God in other to inherite the kingdom of God on the last day.
