Super Falcons defender Ashleigh Plumptre has undergone surgery on her left foot, Prompt News reports.
The surgery is reported to be successful, according to her Saudi club, Al-Ittihad.
Plumptre is expected to recover in time for the for the postponed 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in July.
The competition was earlier expected to start in Morocco this month before it was postponed.
The former Leicester City player has already begin rehabilitation under the supervision of her club’s medical team as she works towards regaining full fitness.
Al-Ittihad are second in the league standings after 12 rounds of matches.
