Nigeria forward, Tolu Arokodare has been racially abused online following his failure to convert a penalty in KRC Genk’s defeat to Club Brugge.
Arokodare had the chance to give Genk the lead from the spot on 18 minutes but fluffled the opportunity.
Genk ended up losing the game 3-0 and the fans vent their anger on the striker with hateful comments on the social media.
Hugo Vetlesen scored all three goals for Club Brugge.
Arokodare was signed by Genk in the winter transfer window of 2023 as a replacement for another Nigerian striker, Paul Onuachu,who joined Southampton.
He has scored 13 goals for Genk in 50 appearances.
