Tolu Arokodare is full of excitement following his maiden invitation to the Super Eagles, reports Prompt News.
Arokodare is in Nigeria’s squad for 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
The 24-year-old has scored 17 goals and registered five assists in 30 league appearances for the Smurfs this season.
“I still don’t know how to feel. It’s a mix of only great feelings for me and my family. I can’t wait to put on that shirt,” he told HLN.
Genk are favourites to be crowned champions after the playoffs thanks in part of the goals of the big Nigerian striker.
Arokodare scored in a 2-0 home win over Union St.Gilloise and he said afterwards that the atmosphere around the team is great.
“It is always good to help the team with a goal. That is my job, but the three points are the most important,” he said.
“The atmosphere afterwards in the dressing room was great. You should take a look at my socials.”
