Premier League giants Liverpool have announced Arne Slot as their new manager.
The announcement came 24 hours after Slot predecessor Jurgen Klopp’s final game in charge.
The new manager will start work at the Anfield on June 1.
Liverpool agreed a £9.4m compensation package with Feyenoord earlier this month and quickly reached an agreement on personal terms with Slot.
‘It’s certainly not an easy decision to close the door behind you at a club where you’ve had so many great moments and worked successfully with so many great people,” Slot said in a statement on Feyenoord’s website.
“But an opportunity to become a head coach in the Premier League, at one of the biggest clubs in the world, is hard to ignore as a sportsman.” READ ALSO:

Slot’s first game in charge will be a preseason friendly against Real Betis in Pittsburgh on July 26.
