Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) has approved the release of N2,835,150,000 for Cohort Two of the One-Youth-Two-Skills Business Financing Scheme, the One-Youth-Two-Skills Cooperatives Start-up, Graduation and Certification, One-Youth-Two-Skills Mentorship Scheme, and the Consolation to a Deceased Family.
This was at the Council’s 15th meeting held on 21st July, 2025, at the Light House Awka, where it concluded preparations on the continuity of the One-Youth-Two-Skills Scheme with approved funds to contractors for full implementation.
The State’s Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, stated that the Council reviewed the success of Cohort One, where 7,163 out of 11,000 trainees excelled in 65 skill areas. Additionally, 235 apprentices from the Local Enterprise Development of 21 local governments in the state were successful, with over 1,000 millionaires emerging from the graduates.
Consequently, the Council, at the session, approved a prompt payment system for contractors in the state to ensure none of them is owed, a policy that has been in place since the inception of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s administration.
The move is to enhance the payment system, which has been very effective for the past three years, when Governor Soludo commenced governance.
It also signed the Awka City Park Project, which is designed to provide environmental, aesthetic, and recreational benefits to the state capital, along with social, health, and economic benefits, with work set to commence immediately.

These are parts of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s infrastructure and transformation of Anambra in turning it into a destination, rather than a departure lounge, into the Dubai-Silicon Valley of the country, and suitable for economic and business activities.
The governor’s laudable achievements are also evident in the areas of education, health, transportation, innovation, human capital development, security, and agriculture, among others.
