The COVID-19 crisis is here to reset the brains of all human beings in this world. This pandemic is similar to a stubborn mosquito playing ludo on a frustrated drunkard’s two testicles. It requires strategic caution to dislodge this viral monster!
This wicked virus has reduced the entire human race to the level of unguarded pawns on the chessboard of life. What a pity!
This arrogant Coronavirus also exposed(and disgraced) all the “prophets” with God’s direct phone numbers as fake, stupid and fraudulent.
The hydra-headed coronavirus is what the Yoruba people called, “Abiku so ologun di eke”. Meaning, a reincarnated child portrayed the experienced chief priest as a career liar.
It is also a wake-up call for all governments to invest in the health care system without any agitation or appeal from ordinary people. It is a blessing in disguise if we look at the other side despite the casualties.
Let’s hope Nigerian politicians won’t be running to Europe and America after this pandemic to treat ordinary stomach ache except if cursed from their different remote villages.
Nigeria is rich enough to have world-class hospitals and research centres in all the 36 states plus FCT Abuja. It is not rocket science.
This COVID-19 crisis is a golden opportunity for the entire human race to think about the future and design a suitable strategy to cope with any future occurrence.
The nasty conspiracy theory which linked 5G mobile technology with the spread of COVID-19 is gradually fading away like a cloud of smoke.
The whole world cannot remain the same when the lockdown is finally over. From the recent analysis in the United Kingdom, things are likely to return to normalcy from mid-May 2020.
So, question yourself today, which side will I belong to when this COVID-19 Lockdown is over? Argue with your conscience now!
Schools in the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, and many developed countries are not totally shutdown like in third world countries because students and teachers are still constantly engaging in e-learning via Zoom, Skype and other platforms.
As a postgraduate university student in Scotland, I did some lectures via Zoom with my lecturers. We (students) also created WhatsApp/Facebook chatrooms to discuss coursework/assignments. We cannot totally lock down our brains because of the temporary COVID-19 pandemic.
My children also did not stop schoolwork because of COVID-19 because their teachers interacted and taught them via zoom and other e-learning platforms. That’s the power of information technology.
Several certified online courses are not in lockdown but still running as I am writing this article. I am a registered part-time student of some certified online courses apart from my full-time studentship with the UK University of the year, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland.
Have you been reading any book during this COVID-19 crisis lockdown to gain extra knowledge?
A childhood friend recently told me, “If you’re hungry, you cannot read any book, not even a newspaper with a full concentration.”
It is only in the third world countries like Nigeria that the COVID-19 Lockdown is considered as enforced public holidays without a constant supply of electricity and selective distribution of COVID-19 crisis palliatives by some wicked government officials without conscience.
Sellers of essential food items also increased their prices during this pandemic to make extra profits, making living unbearable for fellow human beings in Nigeria.
Also, recent reports of hoodlums and robbers attacking people in their homes and on the streets, just using the opportunity of this lockdown to loot, rape, attack and even kill innocent people. I don’t know if all Nigerian police officers (and soldiers!) are also on COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. Many Nigerians cannot sleep with peace of mind because of these criminal activities. Self-defence is the solution.*Stories go plenty on judgment day oooooo!!!!
The Game Changers after the Lockdown are going to be the smart thinkers, creative inventors, market share analysts, multi-skill innovators, and agro-business professionals.
Post COVID-19 era, we need to further take our personal hygiene as a serious matter and also “social distancing” must eventually fade away from our consciousness.
Special appreciation to all the charity organisations, religious organisations, government agencies, and individuals who reached out to people in Nigeria and elsewhere to pull through this COVID-19 era.
History often repeats itself in many ways, this COVID-19 pandemic shall soon be over and NOW is the right time to re-organise many things for the sake of present and unborn generations. We shall overcome and defeat COVID-19 very soon!
