            Alfa Musa

IN THE NAME OF ALLAH MOST COMPASSIONATE EVER MERCIFUL

All thanks belongs to Allah(s.w.t) who created the heavens and the earth and is sustaining the creation without stress. I offer Salawat to the Noble Messenger Muhammad(s.a.w), his household, his companions and the rest of us that followed him(s.a.w) till the Day of Resurrection – Amin.
Let me begin with this Poem:

                                                            Happiness is……….. Gotten through Patience

                                                     Happiness is like a butterfly…

The more you pursue it, the more it will elude.

When you learn to be patient and still.

It will fly over and land on your shoulder.

                                                     Think about it!

The beauty of life is that it offers choices. Allah(s.w.t) has created Mankind in a manner that   choice is part of the benefit offered to mankind.
In the life of Man, he has a choice to be a success or become a failure, the choice is absolutely his.
You are offered a choice to choose between belief and unbelief.
You have a choice to be good or bad.
You are offered alternatives in making your choice.
            Obedience or disobedience
            Anger or Patience.
The choice you make determines your path through life and your Fate on the Day of        Resurrection
When a wife is angry, Should the next optional question be divorce?
Do I as a woman have a right to divorce should not be the next?

This is often the women liberationist usually pose to me

How do I solve or resolve my challenge is a better query
When a friend / neighbor is angered by another friend or neighbor he asks:
Should I stop from greeting my friend or neighbor?
That should not be the first step
You should ask yourself what you have done wrong to your neighbor
Arrogance, self-Conceitedness, which is the handiwork of the devil hardly give man the patience to be humble and reflect; instead, man wants to know if he has right to quarrel, make trouble, sue to Court or physical fight. As it is with individual so is it with Nations and Continents.
What I often found to be interesting is the fact that you will never be short of advisers that will encourage you to start trouble, take a revenge or go to war! The challenge comes on how the fight or war is to be resolved or settled. Even when you pay the lawyers, buy arms and ammunition the desired peace is not easy to come by!
What modern day activist, liberationist, freedom fighters and their ilk does not take into consideration is that life is not just about right, it is essentially more about duty and responsibility.
In Islam, a seemingly similar issue might not necessarily get the same legal position. Circumstances and situation differ and similar issues might not necessarily get similar advice, what apply to your condition depends on individual situation and circumstances.
In any event, reconciliation option is never a closed issue in human interaction, be it inter- personal, Family, Community or Nations.

            What is very obvious:
It is obvious that it is the right of the  husband to be respected and obeyed
It is however his duty to be responsible and caring to his family
It is the right of the wife to be loved and cared for
It is her duty to b respectful and dutiful to her husband
It is the right of the  leaders to be respected
Leaders also have a duty to deliver on good Governance and be fair to all
One person’s right goes along with his duty
Those that discharged their duty often get their right without asking

            Consequence of Anger:
Anger could begin from disappointment, grow to sadness or hate, graduate to fury. Anger which could lead to hate, could lead to strive or war, etc. it is a state of being that can make a supposedly white man turn blue, it can make a jealous light complexioned person turn green and it can make the affected develop blood pressure or worse, start a war you might live to regret.
In other words, you should avoid anger at all cost. There is never a situation in which Anger is expressed and you get any benefit from it

When you physically express your anger through physical and mental  abuse, the devil wins. More confusion is created and the circus goes on.
There was an occasion when an non-Muslim came to meet Abubakr r.a
The man started to curse him, in manners that shows that he wanted to get Abubakr angry and disrupt his equilibrium.
Abubakr was silent until he cannot take it again
The irony of it was that as the man was abusing and cursing Abubakr
Rasulullah was beside him at the Kaa’ba
Abubakr was awaiting the Messenger of Allah to say something
When The Prophet did not utter a word
And Abubakr could not take it again
He too started to reply the aggressor with similar curses
At this point, Muhammad(s.a.w) stood up and move on
Abubakr was surprised at this and he too got up to follow the Prophet(s.a.w)
He noticed that the Messenger(s.a.w) was not too pleased with him (Abubakr)
This disturbed him as he cannot bear the displeasure of the Messenger
He insisted that the Messenger should say something
The Messenger informed Abubakr that as the man was cursing Abubakr
He saw the Angel returning the man’s curses to him
But, when Abubakr started to reply the aggressor
The Angel depart from them and the devil came in between Abubakr and the troublesome  man
And He (Muhammad – s.a.w), will never stay where the devil is present

It is therefore better for you to emulate the Rasul:
Avoid the devil by avoiding anger or its causes
Every challenge in life is a test or an examination
For you to succeed you need to copy, unlike JAMB, WEAC, NECO and other Exams, in the examination of life, you are allowed to copy! The issue now is the medium you copy will determine your ultimate success.

When you are allowed to copy:
            It is a Fact that-
During a test or an Examination,
There should be no cheating nor copying
You must not enter with a book, cell phone and the like to avoid cheating
You cannot sit-in or write for anyone for an Exam!

As for the Examination of Lief. The Exam set by Allah:
            You are allowed to copy:
The Prophet and other pious ones have passed through greater challenges
            You can open the Book
Book of Allah when you forget: Reference the Glorious Qur’an
Answers to your query, test or exams is in the Qur’an, Ahadith Books.
You can assist or help others to pass this Exam!
Through admonition, advice, counseling, on E of L

Listen to what the Prophet says and reflect:
The believer is not given to cursing, slandering, obscene and foul speech
            (Ahamad 3948,  tirimidhi 1977)

It is also reported that a believer should avoid things that will always make him to be saying sorry, because no body apologizes for goodness. Meaning that you should always reflect deeply before you act. You should do good on purpose, it will strengthen your resolve and make it easy for you to avoid anger.

            An Invaluable Advice / Advise:
A worshipper came to the Messenger one day
            He said to the Messenger
Oh Prophet of Allah, please advise me
The Prophet looked at him and then said:
“Do not be angry ! Do not be angry ! Do not be angry”

            The Challenge of People:
Oftentimes when people visit the spiritualist, it is either to address some material or worldly issues such as wealth or power.
Hardly do you find them asking questions regarding the use of wealth or power. Any wonder though that wealth and power you have been give, the wisdom to manage wealth and power is elusive.
In the days of yore, worshippers wanted a better character and so are mindful of what they ask the Rasul and they were the better for it.
The essence of life is to be aware that anger, fury or wars have never resolve any problem, rather it compounds it, while patience have always beautify things in everything it is applied.
The choice is yours but the input determines your output. As you lay your Bed, so you lie on it!
