After the initial disputes over the election result from Orumba North, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) winner of the Local Government Areas in the Anambra state Governorship Election.
APGA garnered a total of APGA 4,787 to once again move closer to the finish line just as the All Progressive Congress (APC) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) came out short by scoring 2,672 and 1,847 respectively.
The Orumba North result was earlier stepped down after allegations of malpractices were reported and INEC quickly set up an Ad Hoc panel that reconciled the figures and the result was later declared.
With the above, APGA extended its lead to 18 Local Government Areas and may have coast home to victory.
