To ensure that there are no security issues that may disrupt the November 6 Anambra state Governorship Election, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu on Tuesday arrived in Akwa, the capital of Anambra State.
He immediately went into consultation with the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Echeng E. Echeng.
Thereafter, he held meeting with members of the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES), Anambra State chapter, to discuss the security situation with regard to the governorship election.
Prof Yakubu arrived Anambra via Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.
He was in company of National Commissioners, members of the Technical Team, Directors and other Directing Staff.
