Mr Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Nigeria’s Minister of Transportation has reacted to attack he was subjected to in Madrid, Spain on Friday.
The Minister said he was in Madrid on a national assignment to attend a climate change event.
Reacting via his twitter handle, @ChibuikeAmaechi, the Minister described those who attacked him as “few misguided Nigerians.”
He added that they were however quickly repelled by the Spanish Police before they could harm him, thanking Nigerians for their prayers.
“Some minutes ago, I was attacked by a few misguided Nigerians while on national assignment at a climate change event in Madrid, Spain. They were quickly repelled by the Spanish police before they could do any harm. I am fine. I was not hurt. Thanks for your support & prayers,” the Minister tweeted @ChibuikeAmaechi.

Senator Ekweremadu was in Nurnberg, Germany to attend the Second Annual Cultural Festival and Convention organised by Ndi-Igbo.
