Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso says he is happy to keep Victor Boniface at the club after the forward’s proposed move to Al Nassr fell through.
Boniface was on the verge of sealing a mega money move to the Saudi club this week.
Stefano Pioli’s side however pulled a plug on the move instead opted to sign Aston Villa and Colombia striker Jhon Duran.
Alonso said the striker is unperturbed by the failed transfer and is concentrated on playing for the club.
“He will train again tomorrow (today). I think he will stay with us,” the former Real Madrid midfielder told ESPN.
“So I have to say that I am satisfied, I am happy.”
“He is comfortable here, so I don’t think this is a big stress for him.”
Die Werkself will return to action against Hoffenheim on Sunday.
