Akwa United head Fatai Osho says his players are adapting fast to his playing philosophy.
Osho took charge of the Promise Keepers in June after leaving Rivers United, where he was assistant coach.
The Uyo club had a disappointing outing at the Naija Super 8 tourney in July few weeks after he took charge of the team.
The young tactician stated that his team is gradually achieving the much-needed blend as a unit following their recent performances.
’I must say that I am really excited that the boys have picked up nicely and their level of understanding and adaptability is quite impressive. The two matches we played against Heartland and Rangers were tough games and I want to commend my players for putting up such performances and above all for playing as a team with purpose,”Osho told the club’s official website. ‘’We have achieved a lot tactically and psychologically in the last few weeks as it’s evident in our recent results. We have kept two clean sheets against two good teams and in my assessment of the two games, we are solid defensively, in the middle we are compact, going forward we are dangerous and that is commendable. We have to keep working hard to ensure we are fully ready before the start of the new season’’.
