Apparently happy with the bond of camaraderie existing between him and his staff, the management of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Akwa Ibom State will tomorrow hold an elaborate farewell party in honour of the outgoing Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Barrister Mike Igini.
According to the invitation letter signed by Barrister Emmanuel Ogbodu, INEC Akwa Ibom State Administrative Secretary obtained by Prompt News on Wednesday, the event will hold on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Sir Udo Udoma Avenue office of the Commission in Uyo, capital of Akwa Ibom state.
The letter urged all staff to attend the event which will give them the last opportunity to felicitate with their outgoing REC described as a team player, leader and a outstanding public servant who has discharged his duties to the best of his abilities without fear or favour.
The Farewell Party for the outgoing REC, will mark the commencement of his final exit from his duty post in Akwa Ibom as he will bow out of INEC completely on August 15, 2022.
Igini served twice as REC after being appointed first by former President Goodluck Jonathan and was reappointed for a
second term in 2017 by President Muhammadu Buhari.
