Niigeria defender Seni Ajayi has been named in the Sky Bet Championship team of the week following his impressive performance in West Bromwich Albion 1-1 away draw against Fulham at the Craven Cottage.
Ajayi nodded home Matheus Perreira’s corner kick 10 minutes from time to help West Brom earn a share of the spoils in the game.
Frenchman Anthony Knockaert put the home team ahead in the 49th minute after he was set up by Ivan Cavaliero.
Ajayi is listed among the players who excelled at the weekend by the English Football League in the team of the week list released on Monday.
It was Ajayi’s first goal for the Baggies following his summer switch from Rotherham United.
He has played every minute of West Brom’s Championship games this season.
Slaven Bilic’s men will host Huddersfield Town in their next league game.
