The Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh has lauded the exceptional performance of the Senior Men’s National team of Nigeria, describing them as an “unstoppable force” after their semifinal win over South Africa on Wednesday evening.
In a thrilling match that captured the hearts of millions, the Super Eagles of Nigeria soared to victory against the Bafana Bafana, securing their place in the final of the African Cup of Nations.
Expressing his heartfelt congratulations, Senator Enoh commended the players, coaching staff, and all those involved in the Super Eagles’ journey for their doggedness and determination. He emphasized the significance of their achievement in uniting the nation and inspiring future generations of Nigerian sports stars.

The Eagles scored first through a penalty from skipper, William Troost Ekong, before the South Africans equalized towards the 90th minute. As the game went down to penalty shoot outs, Nigeria’s safe hands, Stanley Nwabali stopped two penalty kicks as Nigeria coasted to victory.
As the Super Eagles gear up for the final showdown in the African Cup of Nations, Enoh urged the entire nation to stand behind the team, and support their quest for victory. The final will be played on Sunday in Abidjan, as the Eagles go for a fourth AFCON title.
