Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro claimed his side has no excuse not do well at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations despite the harsh weather condition in Cote d’Ivoire.
Twenty-four (24) out of the 25 players in Nigeria’s squad for the competition ply their trade in Europe.
There are fears they could struggle to cope with tough conditions in Abidjan.
Peseiro has however said his side must be ready to adapt and put up a good showing in the competition.
“We cannot give excuses about the weather; we need to put in our focus, adapt well and do our best ahead of the first match, which is very important for us,” he told NFF TV. READ ALSO:

The Super Eagles will open their campaign at the 2023 AFCON finals against Equatorial Guinea on Sunday.
They will also face hosts Cote d’Ivoire and Guinea-Bissau in the group stage.
