Super Eagles goalkeper, Stanley Nwabali will undergo scan to determine the extent of the injury he sustained in the team’s victory against Cameroon.
Nigeria posted a 2-0 victory against the Indomitable Lions in their Round of 16 contest on Saturday.
Nwabali was however unable to complete the game as he was stretchered off the pitch 10 minutes from time after colliding with Cameroon winger, Georges Nkoudou.
His replacement Francis Uzoho was hardly tested by the Cameronians.
The Chippa United goalkeeper’s availability for Nigeria’s next game against Angola will be ascertained after the test.
Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro refused to reveal the extent of the injury after the game.
“We will assess the state of Nwabali’s injury in the next 24 to 48 hours. It’s difficult to assess his condition, while we were in the match,” Peseiro said in a post-match conference. READ ALSO:
